Since then, I installed the 4.0D version of Digital Unix, but I used

I tried to install 5.1, without success.
Any hint?

It needs the SRM hack as well to boot tru64 / VMS on it (same for any
white box). IIRC it worked in 4.0F and 5.0 last I checked, although it has
been a while.

The *stock* UW SCSI card that comes in the 5300/5305 systems worked with
the older versions of Tru64 and OpenVMS. It is a 53c875 based card.

You use any scsi card (32 or 64 bits) that works/worked in an Alpha
system (Alpha Server, Alpha Station, Alpha Personal Workstation).
There is a lot of scsi cards like these on Ebay.
Try this link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3465487381&category=1244
PS: Be careful with "white" systems (like Digital Server 5305, Alpha
Workstation X00*a*, etc); these machines has scsi cards that doesnt work
in Tru64 and OpenVMS OS.
I hope it helps.
Regards!
