FYI, I assume the CDK-based version of OpenShift will support this
correctly.

Is this the right list to alert to this sort of thing?

Starting in May with OCP 3.2 the oc clients became downloadable from under
the help menu from the webconsole.  So anyone that has access to an OCP
environment and a desire to have a commandline should have access to the
command line clients from that same page without needing to go anywhere
else.
