FUDCon during LinuxTag in Berlin

The Fedora Users and Developers Conference, "FUDCon", the center of the activities of the Fedora Project will take place on LinuxTag this year.
 LinuxTag will take place from May 30th to June 2nd on the fairground under the radio tower in Berlin. After two FUDCons earlier this year, one in Brussels during
 FOSDEM, and one in Boston, this LinuxTag FUDCon will be the third this year already.

The conference's goal is an intensive exchange of information and experience between the participants and contributors to the free Fedora Project, supported by Red Hat.
 The FUDCon's program covers talks on Refurbishing ATA, Clustered Volume Management and SELinux, amongst others.

Before FUDCon there's also a Fedora Ambassadors Day, especially meant for Fedora Ambassadors meeting other Fedora Ambassadors from the EMEA area.

FUDCon is taking place May 31st 2007, along with an installation party for Fedora's latest release, Fedora 7. Since the General Availability date of Fedora 7 coincides
 exactly with LinuxTag, it will also be the first public annunciation in Europe. Differently then with past meetings no Fedora DVDs will be distributed amongst interested visitors, but a local installation server will be available for direct use.

Another highlight is FUDCon will have a shared workshop with OpenSUSE, with the goal to strengthen the cooperation between the two projects. The presentation of Fedora on Apple hardware, a Troubleshooting Contest and Virtualization on the Fedora booth finishes the Fedora Project program. Visitors will have a chance to meet Max Spevack, the Fedora Project Leader, amongst other considerable people.

The first public conception of Fedora 7, May 31st 2007, is during LinuxTag. This is celebrated with an installation party, in order to give the visitors the possibility to install the latest Fedora release. The FUDCon, OLPC, Clustered volume management, SELinux and other current topics covers the developer and user meeting. As speakers Max Spevack, the Fedora Project Leader and further considerable persons appear. The joint effort Workshop with openSUSE - to strengthen the co-operation of the projects - forms a further highlight of the participation of the Fedora Projects at the LinuxTag.
