Unfortunately that is a problem. :( You see, the logo as it is without 3D effects or anything like that is a really big part of the Fedora project's identity. It's actually expressly forbidden for folks to use modified versions of the logo (see <a href="http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines"> http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines</a>). This is so that the Fedora project has a unified brand and to lessen confusion about what is and isn't officially a part of the project.
