<pre wrap="">Problems updating from F11 -> F12
1st: graphics interface (X) didn't work. Hardware NVIDIA 5500 + LG 710E CRT.
After update: /etc/X11/xorg.conf was altered:
Section "Device"
Driver "sis"
# Driver "nv"
...
I guess that install is detecting motherboard's Sis chip (but it is
disabled)...
LG 710E is also source of problems since correct definition is:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "LG"
ModelName "710E"
HorizSync 30.0 - 71.0
VertRefresh 50.0 - 160.0
Option "DPMS"
EndSection

2nd: after using textual update (that went without problems) and fixing
/etc/X11/xorg.conf kdm failed to start

3rd: trying the rescue facility of install CD
It enters a menu that asks for shell/check/something else.
I choose shell, then OK and have nothing. Despite right selection for
keyboard and language, <tab> & arrows are "borked" (escape sequences).
