From bruno at wolff.to Mon Mar 2 18:12:17 2009 From: bruno at wolff.to (Bruno Wolff III) Date: Mon, 2 Mar 2009 12:12:17 -0600 Subject: Games Spin update Message-ID: <20090302181217.GA11631@wolff.to> The Games Spin was approved at today's Spin SIG meeting. I plan to go through each listed game and make sure that they are playable. I won't go through to the end, but they should at least be playable for a little while without crashing or having other really bad stuff happening. I plan to make some notes about each game as I tested to provide instructions for QA. I still need to learn how to do create the test case pages. If I run across games that only function if you first download data from a third party web site, I'll most likely to drop them. If I make enough space doing this (which seems unlikely), I'll add openarena back. I am in the process of getting machines updated after the mass rebuild. (This has been going slow because of skip broken not working when their are a lot of packages messed up by a dependency problem or if there are file conflicts.) And won't get to testing individual games until after this has been completed, which won't be for a couple of days. You can just query that to filter them out. You can just query that to filter them out. Thanks! That will let me go through the possibles list first and I'd prefer to get any package changes done sonner rather than later. If this saves a lot more space than I am expecting, I'll test adding openarena back. (openarena will pull in the quake3 engine, so it still wouldn't need to be in the ks file.) It's probably best left orphaned. I wonder why SDL_image is in this list. I think there are quite a few packages (including games) that depend on it. --Wart Rahul Sundaram wrote: > Hi, > > There are a few games in here that people might want to help maintain. > > > Rahul > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Subject: > Purging the orphans > From: > Jesse Keating > Date: > Mon, 02 Mar 2009 12:13:36 -0800 > To: > fedora-devel-announce at redhat.com > > To: > fedora-devel-announce at redhat.com > CC: > > > It's that time of the release cycle, where we purge the unblocked > orphans from rawhide. I had SDL_image for a while on livna, then hans took it over and patched it to be submitted to Fedora. If Hans is too busy to maintain this package, I can take it. -Chris From sundaram at fedoraproject.org Sun Mar 22 04:20:01 2009 From: sundaram at fedoraproject.org (Rahul Sundaram) Date: Sun, 22 Mar 2009 09:50:01 +0530 Subject: Anyone packaging Bloodfrontier?
