As this is a research paper, I cannot just only include my own thoughts and experience about IIIMF, it requires me to gather and analyse data from experienced users like yourself and determine whether it matches my hypothesis. Hence, I need help from all of you by responding to a few simple scenario on how XIM and IIIMF handle each of the situation. There is no right and wrong answer to the scenarios. If you think XIM or IIIMF is better in a particular scenario, briefly justify your thought and I think this will led to very interesting discussion in the mailing list. Thanks for taking time to complete the survey and I look forward to your reply. Which architecture/framework would be recommend to the programmer? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using XIM Architecture and IIIMF? Scenario 2 A marketing co-coordinator is in the process of creating a poster for an International event. The poster would have wordings of different languages. How does the XIM Architecture and IIIMF handle this? What are the implications of using XIM and IIIMF? Scenario 3 In the event where there is a need to modify a legacy document which is non-Unicode encoded. How does the Input Method implemented using XIM Architecture and IIIMF handle this situation? # Nadeem は自分で svn.openi18n.org からソース落として build する、と # 言ってましたが(^-^;; | From: hiura @ openi18n.org (Hideki Hiura) | To: fedora-list @ redhat.com, nadiizu @ earthlink.net | Date: Wed, 19 May 2004 15:43:16 -0700 (PDT) | > From: Nadeem Bitar | > > or | > > - Wait a little for the updated binary packages becoming availabe | > > via yum/apt-get or download. | > How long is a little :-) | | We need to ask the packager(s) of iiimf-gtk and iiimf-x :-). | | The bugs were in iiimgcf and iiimxcf. | * gtkimcontextiiim.c: should enable input method by default when | there is no _IM_SETTINGS. | * iiimp/guiIM.c: should enable input method by default when there | is no _IM_SETTINGS. | | Thanks! -- hiura@{freestandards.org,OpenI18N.org,li18nux.org,unicode.org,sun.com} Chair, OpenI18N.org/The Free Standards Group http://www.OpenI18N.org Architect/Sr. Staff Engineer, Sun Microsystems, Inc, USA eFAX: 509-693-8356 From bugzilla @ redhat.com Thu May 27 12:26:32 2004 From: bugzilla @ redhat.com (bugzilla @ redhat.com) Date: Thu, 27 May 2004 08:26:32 -0400 Subject: [fedora-ja-list] [Bug 124258] Htt IM Status error occurs in the KDE Message-ID: <200405271226.i4RCQWY4017711@www.beta.redhat.com> Please do not reply directly to this email. I mean somehow it appears on the taskbar immediately after running KDE, because of Bug#118114. but it disappears after running the applications, though. and for me, the status window doesn't appear on the taskbar after that. I think this bug should be merged to Bug#118114 anyway, because it sounds like the bug reporter is saying that the status window shouldn't appears anyway unless the IM is switched on. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 118114 *** ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
