I too have recently upgraded to this configuration (bcm43xx-8021, version 4 firmware, and FC6). I also have a wired connection (usually). The main lossage I notice is that during boot-up, I see the error messages that 8B06 ("Set Mode") 8B20 ("Set Bit Rate") are not recognized commands, and there is a long pause and ultimate failure trying to obtain an IP address for eth1 (the wireless interface). Later on, after being logged in for a while, if I unplug the wired connection eth0, Network Manager has no problem switching over to the wireless interface. However, I have been able to hang the machine by plugging the ethernet cable back in.

Sorry I dropped off the thread, but Time Warner lost my Internet<br>connection for the better part of the week. I appreciate everyone's eyes<br>and help so far.<br><br>To summarize, I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.22.2-42.fc6
and then had to<br>upgrade to bcm43xx-80211 and version 4 of the drivers for my wireless.<br>Now after booting up, the radio is configured (iwconfig) and the adapter<br>is configured (ifconfig), but I cannot connect to the Internet. If I run
<br>'ifup eth1', my network then works. It is as if 'ifconfig' was run<br>before 'iwconfig' during the bootup process.<br><br>While my Internet connection was out, I created a work-around. I created
<br>an init.d script that runs 'ifup' and set it to run just before the<br>netfs script. I added 'ifconfig', 'iwconfig', 'iwlist' and 'ping'<br>commands before and after the 'ifup' to try to capture the state of the
<br>interface before and after the 'ifup'. The results are listed below. I<br>don't see anything in there to indicate the problem. If any of you guys<br>do, please let me know.<br><br>Thanks!<br><br>Andrew Robinson
