<html> We have a server, 10.0.0.215/192.168.5.15 which is also on the outside network (it can get to the network, but people can't get to it).So generally if you are logged into it you can do things like ping yahoo.com, ping goole.com, http://mail.yahoo.com, etc. Recently, it started acting up. I could get to other 192.168.5.X machines and also to 10.X.X.X machines, but could not get out(pinging externally did not work). The firewall did not change. After playing around a bit with neat, and stopping eth0 (192.168.5.15)and starting it again, I was agin able to reach the outside. You'd think it may be a problem with the network, but other 192.168.5.X machines were able to get out. I am not sure what might be causing this problem. Seems to happen a few times. Other starnge things too like freeze ups whentrying to SCP, etc. /var/log/messages did ask "do you have some kind of strange power saving setting?" but I could not find anything. Looked in preferencesand system settings. Any ideas? </html>
