Saving space: drop Omni?

All the recent talk of saving space on CDs reminded me of a suggestion
from a while back.

Should we drop Omni?  Does anyone actually use it successfully with
their printer?

(How to tell: go to System Settings->Printing, double-click on each
queue name, go to the Printer driver tab and see if omni-compiled is
selected.)
