<h2>Fedora 9 "Sulphur" Linux distribution released</h2>"Following a half-year of development and three weeks after the release of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.heise-online.co.uk/news/Ubuntu-8-04-LTS-released--/110604" rel="external">new version of Ubuntu</a>, the <a target="_blank" href="http://fedoraproject.org/" rel="external">Fedora Project</a> has introduced the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2008-May/msg00007.html" rel="external">Fedora 9</a>
Linux distribution. As usual for Fedora, the distribution, with its
Linux 2.6.25 kernel, Glibc 2.8, and current versions of GNOME and KDE,
is highly up to date. With its pre-release version of X Server 1.5 for
X.org 7.4, it is so current that the proprietary AMD and Nvidia drivers
