Subject: [Fedora-music-list] Sound cards with firmware (alsa-firmware)

In case anyone hadn't seen it (since it's most likely to affect people 
on this list with esoteric cards), I have submitted a review request for 
alsa-firmware:

Any input is most welcome, particularly since I only have one particular 
card so I have no way of testing whether the firmware loading works for 
other cards.

This has finally been done for FC-6 and rawhide.  It may take a day or
two to show up in the mirrors.

I got it today, seems fine. 
Now I have to find time to push more plugin collections to extras...

The day when one can do "yum install ladspa\*" and get _everything_ 
installed gets closer. :-)
