Hi all,
I'd like to do a high-level presentation on fedora-music for my local
LUG in Boston MA in March '08. If it turns out ok, I'll repeat it for
Nashua, NH. I might even be interested in trying to do something for
Red Hat's Summit in Boston in June (ish).
I use the platform mainly for Rosegarden and midi-sequencing, but
obviously the project scope is much broader than this. My workstation
is also heavily used for non-linear video editing (cinelerra) so I blend
the 2 projects to create mini home movies.
Are there any existing materials (papers, presentations, etc...) which I
could tap to get my research jump started? Especially on topics of:
+ competitive landscape
+ industry standards (for things like midi sound fonts)
+ integrating 3rd products (like $$$ soundfonts)
Thanks...
christoph
