issue on Yum & Xattr

Hi,
 
I have several questions there: 
 
When we use the command 'yum', must we keep on line? Can I use it on my local machine?
 
Where is the extended attributes stored? in the inode?
 
Is there any text-based web browser that can be used in SELinux? 
 
I greatly appreciate your answer.
