When I see such double packages then it is usually because an rpm
session was interupted after the new package was installed but before
the old was cleaned up.
I just remove the old packages:
package-cleanup --orphans > orph
vi orph # remove packages I would like to keep
rpm -e $(cat orph)
(or in case of problems with dependencies I do it one a time with
for a in $(cat orph); do rpm -e $a; done
a couple of times)
Or more brutally:
rpm -qa --qf="%{name}\n" kde* > reinstall
rpm -e --nodeps $(rpm -qa kde*)
yum install $(cat reinstall)
