The msg said that my CD 1 was damaged, and the installation was aborted. Using the same CD I chose a' Workstation' installation and it finished successfully. Today I checked the checksum of the ISO files that I downloaded and with md5sum and the checksum was the same as the one included in the site I got these files. Something strange that I found today is that the application used to install the packages (under System settings -> add/remove applications) couldn't install Samba. I got the packages lists, but without the check button to select them. Maybe it was related to the same problem. Any comment is welcome. Regards Mario </body> </html>
