i did manage to work around it by adding the modprobe lines in the xend
init script (see the bz link above), plus i had to build a new initrd
with the xenblk module in order to boot my ubuntu domU:<br>
<br>
mkinitrd --preload=xenblk /boot/initrd.img `uname -r`<br>
<br>
now it seems to be working fine, i have access to 6gb ram and everything starts as it should.<br>

kernel-xen0-2.6.17-1.2174_FC5 (from yum) although it only sees
4gb. i installed kernel-xen-2.6.17-1.2174_FC5 which says it was
built with pae, it sees the full 6gb but fails to bring up the bridge
devices when xend starts. if anyone can point me in the right
