I'm sorry for the long delay, I got busy with the c-ares work and forgot
to reply back..

Right, do we care, then?
I think the variadic macro is by far the most elegant solution by not
having a separate body parameter wrapped in its own parenthesis. If we
need to be portable outside gcc, I'll send a patch using debug_fn/print_fn.
