James, thank you for the contribution.
I am not sure we would be able to take this patch in 3.0 however SSSD
guys might be able to address the issue faster. 

What is the status of review of this patch?
Is there a corresponding ticket?
If we think this is something we should take in we need to have a ticket
in the right milestone with this patch attached.
