Hi,<div><br></div><div>thanks for the quick response,</div><div><br></div><div>I put SELinux into passive mode, and ran the uninstall ( again ), removed /var/lib/dirsrv and /var/run/dirsrv.</div><div><br></div><div>in /dev/shm I have nothing, nothing is created there whilst installation either, the directory remains empty.</div>
<div><br></div><div>re-running install fails the same as before, any other pointers would be most welcome. One other thing is this is a guest in Xen, i run the install with the -N option as suggested.</div><div><br></div>

sounds like a left over shm file from a previous install attempt<br>
ls -al /dev/shm<br>

you'll have to start over with an ipa-server-install --uninstall<br>
if you then have left over sem.slapd-INST-NAME.stats files, remove
them<br>
