From cert-ops at redhat.com Fri Sep 1 19:15:51 2023 From: cert-ops at redhat.com (Red Hat Partner Certification Operations Team) Date: Sat, 2 Sep 2023 00:45:51 +0530 Subject: [Hwcert-announce-list] [Last Reminder] Updating the download for FV images in redhat-certification to no longer use partner ftp Message-ID: Greetings Red Hat Partners, This is to inform you that the partner ftp download service used by the redhat-certification (rhcert) test suite to download the FV guest images and other associated files used by the fv_* tests is no longer available. This change is a change in the distribution method and associated automated download code in rhcert for the FV guest image files. This change does not impact the files themselves. Any images you have downloaded to conduct certification testing remain valid through the established certification lifecycle policies. We have updated rhcert in redhat-certification-8.65, released in July, and made the images available for download via a web browser (details below) to minimize the impact on you. However, the FV certification tests may stop working if you have not taken action. The required action depends on your testing environment: - If you are using redhat-certification-8.65 or later where the environment can reach https://access.redhat.com the test suite will continue to download the FV images with no interruption. - If you upgrade an established testing environment to redhat-certification-8.65 or later, the FV testing will continue to work using the already downloaded files. - If you are using redhat-certification-8.64 or earlier, including all versions of redhat-certification-7.x, or otherwise need to download the FV images separately, the images are available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com/#/fv-images. The images should be downloaded and placed manually onto the system under test in the /var/lib/libvirt/images/ directory for use in testing. Additional details about manually downloading the FV images can be found in Chapter 9.7 of the Test Suite User Guide . We value your ongoing participation in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Certification efforts and thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact the Red Hat Certification Operation Team through the Red Hat Partner Acceleration Desk, in your certification, or directly at cert-ops at redhat.com .
