Take a look at the squidGuard log file: /var/log/squidGuard/squidGuard.log
The last lines of this file should look something like:
2003-03-31 20:02:06 [28860] squidGuard 1.2.0 started (1049169726.681)
2003-03-31 20:02:06 [28860] squidGuard ready for requests (1049169726.692)
If squidguard did not start properly, you should see what caused the error
The only other thing that jumps to mind is that you ran out of disck space on
one of your partitions.
run "df" and if the Use% is 95% or greater on any of the partitions that
would likely be the problem.
