The orginal poster was testing the "test" packages. Steve, have you
installed the test packages as well?
if the answer is "yes", then:
1) don't do that w/o good backups!
2) I would need to know the exact versions of the "test" packages you
installed (some of them have been changed several times)
Most likely you'll need to remove the "usr/sbin/purge_user $USER"
line from the following files:
/etc/X11/gdm/PreSession/Default
/etc/kde/kdm/Xstartup
/etc/X11/gdm/PostSession/Default
/etc/kde/kdm/Xreset
"rpm -qa" will tell you all of the packages you have installed. Here's
the latest versions for the 3.0.2 "test" packages that may be related
to this issue:
ltsp_config-0.0.18-k12ltsp.4.3.0.noarch.rpm
ltsp_esound-0.3-k12ltsp.1.3.0.i386.rpm
"rpm -Va" will give you the list of all files that have been modified
since they were installed. "rpm -qf </path/to/file>" will tell you which
package contains a specific file.
