How about Schoolhouse Linux? I had hoped that Red Hat would start marketing "Red Hat Schoolhouse" and maybe they will. I do think there is a market for the network appliance idea Eric mentioned on the list.It is a good idea, although I am thinking in favor of a more professional sounding name like "Academy Linux". To me "Schoolhouse" invokes an image of kindergarten and less seriousness rather than a professional sounding name. Unfortunately many people judge a book by its cover, and a name means a lot to first impression bias. Anything like "Academic" or "Academy" invokes imagery of professional learning and would sound more "legitimate" to uninformed decision makers. "Academic" has meanings beyond the scope of "K12" even into the college level of education, without the limitation of meaning that "Schoolhouse" implies. Plus, these cool looking domain names are not yet taken: academiclinux.org academiclinux.com academiclinux.net academylinux.org academylinux.com academylinux.net Here's my vote for "Academy Linux". Just my two cents, Warren Togami warren togami com p.s. I will sponsor buying the domain names if academylinux is chosen.
