Hi David,
I'm forwarding this to the list. Things I would try... 1. Restart NFS (service nfs restart) 2. Try with another working client on the same ethernet cable (it always pays to check the cables first...) 3. Reboot the server and see if that fixes it. (After many years with Microsoft, this solution is still a favorite.)
;-) Paul

Hi Paul, It's David from Prairie High School again. I've got a real whopper for you. When I boot a client everything is fine until the root file system tries to mount. At that point the client freezes and the server freezes to. My CPU usage spikes and the server will unfreeze when I shut off the client. It's the most unusual thing I've ever seen. Can you help please. If you have an insight, please e-mail me back.
Thanks, Q-Ball
