[K12OSN] upgrade and crash

I installed the k12ltsp and had everything working great - I decided to use the synaptic package to do an upgrade  so that I would have the latest version -

Things didn't work out so well  -  The upgrade took its toll on my terminals.  They lock up shortly after logging on. 

 

I don't think this is an X  problem - the server is working fine.  I wanted to see if this was a common problem and had a solution before I reload K12LTSP 3.0 back on the server.
