For which piece? Samba 3.0 was recently released. I *know* the samba
2.2 ldap code did not "just work", my co-worker wrote the code. I
maintained the *very* *first* samba-ldap server. We know it well ;-)
Samba 3.0 w/ldap is significantly better than Samba 2.2 w/ldap.
I assume you mean general LDAP integration.
The ldap authentication/authorization in RH has been trivial for
quite a while now.
The only really tricky piece has been the directory server management
piece. Everything I've seen here leaves much to be desired. (yes,
"everything" includes NDS & ADS).
I have not taken a look at what Mandrake is doing with LDAP. Can you
give me pointers to what you like about it? It would REALLY MAKE MY DAY
to find a good solution, triple brownie-points for GPL code ;-)
