Since I'm only an English teacher and have SO much spare time to kill,
I made a new KDE splash screen for K12ltsp and loaded it up to KDE-Look.org

I hope you like it.

Nice photo. Did you take it? Very nice touch (the red hat with the b/w child). I'm curious, does KDE eat up any more/less bandwidth than gnome? I've only used the default gnome destkop and am playing with the idea of IceWM and KDE, etc...

I did take the photo. That's my daughter, 2 years ago.
You can view more of my photos and art at http://www.photodharma.com
(there's more on KDELook.org, too.)
KDE is a bit more feature rich, and, therefore, I suppose, a bit more bloated. I sometimes switch to IceWM when I get frustrated with KDE, and enjoy the speed of IceWM, but I always come back, because I'm spoiled and want KDE features. (No, I wouldn't let my students get away with a run-on like that. Usually.)
