[K12OSN] dual Xeon and FC1

Doug, I'm in the same boat. My dual-xeon servers should arrive next
week -- and I'm torn as to what I should do. (I also have the 6GB of
RAM issue on them too, but that's another story about kernel stability...)
I also have a couple quad-xeon (only 500mhz each) that I am going to use
for web/email/squid services in my DMZ. I'm really concerned about SMP
abilities there.
There's always a mixed bag of results from folks with the SMP kernels
and FC1. Is FC2 void of that problem? Is the suggestion still to use
K12LTSP 3.1.2 for multiprocessor machines?
