Not usre about this but I had this once too.
It turned out that I did a yum update and all kept on working until the next boot.
So 'yum update' was to blame... Digging into it I found that my xdm.conf was overwritten... run ltscnf again (this will rewrite the xdm.conf), and try booting the two clients.
