I've tried and tried...google'n left and right...
this is the log before creating a /etc/ldap.secret file and putting in
the passwd(from using slappasswd -s <passwd>)
Feb 5 15:37:19 ltsp gdm[32053]: pam_ldap: could not open secret file
/etc/ldap.secret (No such file or directory)
Feb 5 15:37:21 ltsp dbus-daemon: nss_ldap: reconnected to LDAP server
ldap://127.0.0.1/ after 1 attempt
Feb 5 15:37:29 ltsp passwd: pam_ldap: could not open secret file
/etc/ldap.secret (No such file or directory)
Feb 5 15:37:32 ltsp passwd: pam_ldap: error trying to bind as user
"uid=huckda,ou=Users,dc=hvja,dc=org" (Invalid credentials)
Feb 5 15:37:47 ltsp passwd: pam_ldap: could not open secret file
/etc/ldap.secret (No such file or directory)
Feb 5 15:38:03 ltsp passwd: pam_ldap: ldap_modify_s Insufficient access
after creating the /etc/ldap.secret file with the passwd in it...
I get this:

credentials)
Feb 5 15:50:33 ltsp gdm[1340]: nss_ldap: failed to bind to LDAP server
