David,
On your -64 bit server try to see exactly what esound packages end up
installed. do the following:
rpm -qa|grep esound
This should yield something very close to the following.( My install
here is EL5 though):
ltsp_esound_server-0.7-k12ltsp.0.4.2
esound-0.2.36-3
ltsp_esound_i386-0.7-k12ltsp.4.2.2EL
You may want to try and download manually these three packages for your
FC7 distro first,,then do an:
rpm -e --nodeps ltsp_esound*.rpm
rpm -e --nodeps ltsp_esound_server*.rpm
rpm -e --nodeps esound*.rpm
to get these packaged removed, then install the three esound packages you
downloaded. It would be worth a shot.
If this still gives you fits You should try doing as Nils suggested and
try and add the repo as he showed and try and get pulse audio working? I
would guess if you cant get esd working you'll really have fits getting
pulse too work,,though.
Let us know your progress.
Keep scratching!
Take Care,
Barry Cisna
