You can use either your existing DHCP server (up until recently I used a Cisco 1605-R router for this purpose), or you can actually make your LTSP server your official DHCP server for the whole LAN, which is what I do now. The, in my case, K12LTSP server has one Gig-E NIC. All my LTSP terminals and my thick clients (FreeBSD, Yellow Dog, Slackware) get DHCP from the K12LTSP server and have no trouble at all going out. I even had Windows 98, Windows XP, and Mac OS boxes do the same thing, just for testing, and it works very well.
