I don't want to 'be a pain', but this is an issue for me. If anyone can tell me how to make anaconda use a different kernel (or even point me to a page that discusses it), I would greatly appreciate it. At present, I cannot load FC5 on my systems since they all use adaptec raid controllers which require the i2o_block device. If it was possible to even use an older version of anaconda (prior to 2.6-15) that would probably work as well.</blockquote><div> Not sure if this will help you but I disabled host raid on my adaptec controller bios and use the kernel to setup software raid 1. Also in the old days of RH9 I used the drivers provided by adaptec. They have a floppy disk image you can download and use the boot parameter dd or expert where ananconda should ask for the driver disk during installation.
