<p><font color="navy" face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: navy; font-family: Arial;">CIPA, as I
understand, is leaves very much to be interpreted. Whether this is to
your advantage or not depends on how much you're willing to spend on a lawyer

<p><font color="navy" face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: navy; font-family: Arial;"> </span></font></p>
<p><font color="navy" face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: navy; font-family: Arial;">I'm certainly no
expert on CIPA, but as I understand you have to use your best efforts to block
or filter and visual depictions that are "harmful to minors." This
includes pornography, of course, among other things. So if you offer an
unfiltered email system to your students and they are all well behaved
individuals, then I doubt you will ever have any problems with CIPA or
receiving E-rate funding (if that's why you ask).</span></font></p>
