Actually that was my point exacty; that is I personaly see this as a bug in
anaconda.
But on the subject of actually stopping the install, you could always
reboot the system yourself.
Its just not as clean, because anaconda will basically get killed in that
scenario, rather than gracefully
going away.
So back to my original point, this would be a fine patch to anaconda, and
an even better bugzilla,
and if I had the time to look into I would create such a patch and bugzilla
report.
Cheers...james
P.S. don't forget the power of the update.img when patching anaconda.

Well, that would have been nice, but nope. I put an exit 1 at the end of
the %pre section, and the install just pressed on. Time to start digging
into the anaconda code, I guess....
If anyone already has done something like this, I'd appreciate the input.

I know this does not work, but shouldn't just exiting with a positive
return value cause
anaconda to fail?

Is there a best way to terminate an install from the %pre section?? There
are certain conditions which I can test for in %pre that would cause me to
want to terminate the install.
I'd like to be able to terminate the install and eject the install CDROM,
then reboot the system.
