rpmtsOrder is what orders an rpm transaction by dependencies. If this
failed, then you should care, because
somewhere along the way you have some missing dependencies. Here is a
link to a script that
will give you what items actually failed:

I've successfully kickstarted a redhat 9 system over nfs. I wanted to
also be able to install from CD.
So I ran:
/usr/lib/anaconda-runtime/pkgorder /a/shrike/cdrom i386 > pkgorder.txt
(/a/shrike/cdrom contains the RedHat directory etc.) I get the error
message:
rpmtsOrder failed, 623 elements remain
However pkgorder.txt is created and contains all the rpms in the RPMS
directory. The RPMS directory contains 3rd party and locally built rpms
as well as the Red Hat ones.
Should I care about this error? If I should, what can I do to fix it?
Regards,
Chris
