I really just wanted to grab variables that I could use in the main config section.  ie:  system architecture.    Is there a list of global variables that are present during the config?

        ¿Where are you going to put the configuration files if you still
don't have any filesystem? ;)

        Is it possible to do something at that point, but should be kept
in /tmp until filesystems are created and you can copy that to the
installed system... so I don't see the point in doing it at %pre instead
of doing at %post
