I'm not clear if when you sent the original email below if you were saying you were ready for help then or later. ________________________________ From: Taylor Biggs Sent: Thursday, June 4, 2020 2:59 PM To: Chris Downey Cc: Kevin O'Donnell ; platformONE at redhat.com Subject: Re: [Platformone] status of OCP4 automated deployment to GovCloud? Hey Chris, I've had this discussion with quite a few folks that have talked with Nic Chaillan already, and they're already largely confused by that point as to what we/they can do in this arena. I would recommend against "Spin up your own.." due to this confusion, since they aren't really doing that but consuming the code/artifacts from Platform One and (hopefully) committing back to the P1 community. Perhaps something akin to "join the P1 community" or "Deploy OpenShift to GovCloud, the PlatformOne way"? As for your #2 - I'd say "no" at this point in time, but it's getting there! We would love to have a few more guinea pigs to help us point out the shortfalls of where documentation needs improvement, so that might be a good approach? I've added you and the Platform One team to our August 25th slot. Really appreciate your fast response and willingness to jump right in. (1) What is the better title for the presentation? "Spin up your own Platform One" or "Deploy OpenShift to GovCloud"? I like the "spin up your own" better, but do you think that is misleading? (2) I'd really like to understand the process involved, everything it takes to deploy into GovCloud. Do you think the documented steps for deployment are complete enough to work for somebody outside of your group? I'd like to give it a try. --Chris ________________________________ From: Kevin O'Donnell > Sent: Monday, June 1, 2020 7:39 PM To: Chris Downey Cc: platformONE at redhat.com > Subject: Re: [Platformone] status of OCP4 automated deployment to GovCloud? Hello Chris, The repo is changing daily as we continue to improve the capabilities. But yes that is our OCP 4.x deployment into GovCloud. And yes, we will take your slot on the 25th. Let me know what you need from us. I'm writing from the NoVA DevSecOps meetup group. We are wondering if, based upon this repo (https://repo1.dsop.io/ocp4/user-docs-ocp4), if OCP4 is currently deployable to GovCloud. Also, would your team be willing to provide a presentation on this effort? We have an available slot on the evening of August 25. thank you, --Chris Christopher Downey, MSc, DevSecOps Practice Lead P 571.232.5235 [cid:17280b08b8c75f140771] _______________________________________________ platformONE mailing list platformONE at redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/platformone _______________________________________________ platformONE mailing list platformONE at redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/platformone -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
