OT: automating gui apps

Hi,

Sorry for posting OT, but I'm hoping that with the acumulated wisdom on 
this list someone can help me.

I've got this propietary motif application which uses a propietary 
database from which I want to export some data. I can export this data 
from the motif gui by selecting the right item from the menu, entering a 
filename, etc.

So my question is is there aay way to record mouse movements and 
mousebutton/key presses under X and replay those automaticly, the replay 
preferrably under Xvfb?
