Our average system has somewhere between 700-900 rpms installed. Looking at these 2 systems, they only show as having 180 or so packages. The packages were not uninstalled. I tried removing /var/lib/rpm/__db* And then an rpmdb --rebuilddb as well as the same procedure with --initdb. This happened on one system where I upgraded from U2 to U3, and another system which was a straight U3 install. I have upgraded to the 4.2.3 rpm, but that did not resolve this issue. No rpm installations were interrupted mid-install; these are for the most part, stock packages with the exception of packages necessary to install minedefang, but another identical system did not have its database become corrupted and it has the same packages. Anything else I can try, other than a reinstall or an rpm -I --justdb for every single package I should have, but don't?
