Summary: The Red Hat OpenStack team is pleased to announce an update to both variants of Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform version 5.0 and the installer.

Details: This is the fifth release for Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform version 5, on RHEL-7 (RHEL-7-OSP-5), the fourth release on RHEL-6 (RHEL-6-OSP-5), and the fourth release for the installer. In total, this release contains over 400 enhancements, bugfixes, documentation changes, and security updates to Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, and is based on the upstream OpenStack Icehouse stable release 2014.1.3 [1]. This release provides Packstack for proofs of concept installs on either RHEL-6 or RHEL-7, and the installer, for more complex installations using a wizard-based installer. Content can continue to be accessed via the Red Hat Content Delivery Network (CDN) through subsciption management, or via Red Hat Network (see documentation for details). 

Support: RHEL-OSP-5 (both on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7) will have a 3-year support lifecycle, ending on 30-Jun-17, and is planned to have multiple updates throughout the Production Phase, see [2] for more details.
