The fix worked like a charm. Jon,

There is an bugzilla issue for this. Its a difference between python 2.3 and python 2.4/2.5 causing it. I posted a work around yesterday, but it broke other stuff. I will post an updated version in a couple minutes.
I am using the FQDN for the server. I shortened it to remove the full domain name from the email. One thing to note is that this is a Xen guest which I am trying to setup. I made sure that I installed rhn-virtualization-guest-5.2.0
-5 prior to running the command. All the log files report the same error:

While running 'registration.new_system': caught
exceptions.TypeError : Procedure() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given)

I did install rhel-instnum-1.0.7-1 which took care of the first issue I had when installing.
This is a Centos 5 VM running on a host that is managed (sucessfully) by Spacewalk.

Thanks for the quick responses!
Try again with the FQDN and not just the hostname of the spacewalk
server. Does that work?
