I finally got it working but it is not "elegant". I had to compile jabberd version 2.2.8 from source as i could not find any rpm packages available, too bad :-( After the compilation I have made the appropriate configuration changes and started both jabber and osad. With four clients already registered with osad i haven't noticed any problem until now. If your Spacewalk install was an upgrade from 0.4 to 0.5, would you be willing to try enabling osa-dispatcher and jabberd on your Spacewalk? The errors should be quite apparent, the jabberd service was dying quite quickly after start with errors going to /var/log/messages.
