Once, the env variables are unset everything will work. I've just spend 5+ hours because the yum output wasn't too talkative. (<TT>Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: addons. Please verify its path and try again</TT>) For case study, curl helped. Just trying to reach the repmod.xml url that the other system can reach and the 'problem' client couldn't and then I got an error, the fqdn wasn't available.......
