I found that jabber was failing to connect. <br><br></div>In /var/log/messages was getting a ton of the following messages<br><br>jabberd/c2s[13698]: port=48735] connect<br>jabberd/c2s[13698]: disconnect jid=unbound, packets: 0<br><br><div><br>It turns out my hostname setup was not done correctly. Not sure where I screwed this up.<br><br>The following thread <a href="https://www.redhat.com/archives/spacewalk-list/2011-March/msg00052.html">https://www.redhat.com/archives/spacewalk-list/2011-March/msg00052.html</a> suggested I check the '/etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date' file for my proper hostname as stated in '/etc/sysconfig/network'. The second of the following lines needed to be adjusted<br><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">serverURL[comment]=Remote server URL (use FQDN)</p>serverURL=<a href="http://swserver/XMLRPC">http://swserver/XMLRPC</a><br><br></div><div>After changing 'swserver' to my hostname, there was no success. <br><br><br>I also had to install the spacewalk-utils package to use the command 'spacewalk-hostname-rename'. After running<br><br>spacewalk-hostname-rename <ip-address><br><br></div><div>it all came back up and the jabber/c2s messages stopped.
