Not all of the CentOS7 systems did this but about 20%.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Found out later the yum transaction aborted which made a mess including not generating an initramfs for the new kernel, hence the kernel panic on reboot.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> I cleaned up the mess. I wasn’t able to determine the reason for the yum abort.
