[vdo-devel] Roadmap for multimple VDO LV on top of a single VDO pool LV

Hi,
I'm currently using VDO volume as storage backend for VMs, that map
their disks to Logical Volumes created on top of a Volume group created on
top of VDO. This permits amazing results in terms of deduplication.

With 8.x release and the integration with LVM, this is not possible
anymore, as per documentation:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/9/html-single/deduplicating_and_compressing_logical_volumes_on_rhel/index

*Currently, each VDO pool LV can hold only one VDO LV. As a result, VDO
deduplicates and compresses each VDO LV separately. Duplicate data that is
stored on separate LVs do not benefit from data optimization of the same
VDO volume. *

Is there any roadmap for having multiple VDO LV on top of a single VDO pool
LV, in order to leverage deduplication again?

Requirement here is to stay as close as possible to the lower storage
layers, so creating a filesystem and moving to qcow2 files is not an option.

Till when this feature will not be available, vdo 6.2 will be the only
possible way to benefit from this great solution.

Thanks for any future outlook you may provide
