AMD FX CPUs are old but mostly already patched to work right. AMD FM2 A/CPUs are often broken in terms of IOMMU, but there may be workarounds available. Modern Intel CPUs(skylake) are broken for now, read about it in a neighborhood thread. 4xxx intel CPUs mostly show a stable working setup. In terms of performance i won't flame a holy war about comparing 2011 bulldozer to 2014 haswell or whatever.
