Note that the original patch does this in several places, eg:

-    <_comment>Compressed Tar Archive</_comment>
+    <_comment>tar archive (compressed)</_comment>

I quite like the brackets, though I prefer them at the end "Scalable image
(SVG)", "Photographic image (JPEG)", etc
